Our Department is specialized in refractive problems’ correction, such as Myopia, Hypermetropia, Astigmatism, Cataracts and Presbyopia. The department offers individualized solutions for each patient, with the aim of improving their vision and reducing their dependence on glasses or contact lenses.
Cornea department is in charge of treating all the pathologies of the Cornea such as Keratoconus, Blepharitis, Pterygium, Corneal Dystrophies, Cornea Guttata and FUCHS Dystrophy.
The department is in charge of attending to all the pathologies that affect the retina such as: Retinal detachment, Diabetic Retinopathy, Age-related Macular Degeneration (Dry and Wet), Macular Edema, Pigmentary Retinosis.
Children's vision develops and changes from birth. The first years of life are very important for this process. Children, even those who do not have visual problems, should be ophthalmically controlled at birth, at 6 months of age, in preschool age (3 or 4 years), and then periodically at school age. In this department there are specialists who take care of the well-being of your child.
This department is responsible for treating Glaucoma, which is when pressure is present inside the eye and rises above normal values. Although there are many causes, the most common is that it occurs due to an obstruction of drainage of aqueous humour: the liquid that is inside the eye and gives it its tonicity.
